Mitchell Gariepy IslandStats.com Day Three of the Bermuda Amateur Swimming Association’s 2015 Validus Long Course National Championships will be streamed LIVE on Islandstats.com (weather permitting) from the National Sports Center. Day Three will see the competition gets underway at 5:00pm, tune in at 4:50pm to watch LIVE coverage.
During the Girls 13 & Over 100 LC Meter Freestyle Preliminaries Julimar Avila from Honduras reached the A Final recording the fastest Qualifying time of 59.26, Madelyn Moore was second with a time of 1:00.59 and Ashley Irby was third in 1:02.02.
Keagan Woolley recorded the fastest Qualifying time during the Boys 12 & Under 100 LC Meter Freestyle Preliminaries clocking 1:06.40, Brian Desmond was second in 1:08.40 and Jayson Hassell was third in 1:11.23.
Phillip Hagen won the Boys 13 & Over 100 LC Meter Freestyle Preliminaries touching the wall in a time of 57.12, Jesse Washington was second clocking 57.33 and Greg Penny from St. Thomas was third with a time of 58.50.
Madelyn Moore clocked 2:44.58 on her way to recording the fastest Qualifying time during the Girls 13 & Over 200 LC Meter Backstroke Preliminaries, Ashley Yearwood was second with a time of 2:44.74 and Shannon Hassell was third clocking 2:53.08.
Lisa Blackburn advanced to the Girls 13 & Over 100 LC Meter Breaststroke A Final after clocking the fastest Qualifying time of 1:13.47, Sophie Clare was second in 1:35.37 and Kerry Palmer was third with a time of 1:35.73.
The Boys 13 & Over 100 LC Meter Breaststroke Preliminaries was won by Penny who touched the wall in a Personal Best time of 1:07.17, Julian Fletcher was second clocking 1:08.29 and Mitchell Gariepy who now resides in Canada was third clocking 1:09.47.
