After 12 events, Ashley Yearwood and her Denison University Women’s Swimming teammates sit in fifth place with 962.5 points at the 2014 Miami University Invitational in Oxford, Ohio.
The host Miami University lead the seven-team field with 1,682 points. Emory sits second with 1,011 points, seven points ahead of Cincinnati. Toledo is fourth with 972 points followed by Denison, Wright State (528.5) and Urbana (117).
Junior Yearwood finished with the 19th fastest time in the Women’s 100 Yard Butterfly Preliminaries touching the wall in a time of 57.74, Yearwood advanced to the B Final. In the B Final Yearwood finished 8th with a time of 58.01.
During the Women’s 100 Yard Backstroke Preliminaries Yearwood met the NCAA Division 3 B Standard when she swam the 11th fastest time of 57.06. In the Women’s 100 Yard Backstroke B Final Yearwood finished 6th clocking 58.51.
Yearwood swam the third leg of the Denison’s Women’s 200 Yard Medley Relay team that finished 4th with a NCAA B Standard time of 1:43.66.
