Following the double performance of Roy-Allan Burch and Julian Fletcher at the 12th FINA Short Course World Swimming Championships competition in Doha, Qata, coach Richard Goodwin offered comments.
Goodwin said, “6 races, 6 Bermuda records. No one could expect or ask for more from these two young men. I am very pleased and proud of their exceptional performances in this competition. It speaks volumes about their professionalism and dedication to the sport. What is truly exemplary, however, is that within hours of their finishing; they were already talking about their plans for next year when they want to attend more competitions and where they can attempt to go even faster and break more records. They did Bermuda proud and I hope they will garner the support and recognition that they are due.”
