Ashley Yearwood and her Denison University Women’s Swimming & Diving teammates combined for a runner-up performance at the Kenyon Swimming and Denison Diving Relays. Denison totaled 108 points, trailing the first-place Kenyon College Ladies by 20 tallies.
In the swimming events at Kenyon, sophomore Carolyn Kane led Denison with five second-place performances. Kane opened the event with a runner-up performance in the Women’s 200m Medley Relay alongside Marissa Bednarek, Yearwood and Rima Jurjus, they recorded a time of 1:47.96. The sophomore followed that up with another second-place swim in the Women’s 200m Backstroke Relay with Leigh Hartog, Molly Willingham and Yearwood clocking 1:47.99.
Kane, Yearwood, Hartog and Campbell Costley were second in the Women’s 200m Butterfly relay after touching in at 1:46.35. Kane finished out her string of runner-up performances in the Women’s 400m IM and Women’s 200m Freestyle Relay events.
Kane, Jurjus, Yearwood and Costley checked in at 1:38.20 in the Women’s 200m Freestyle event.
