Matthew Mays from the US Virgin Islands has put the Bermuda National Sports Center Pool on the map as he qualified for the Youth Olympics while competing in the Validus Bermuda National Long Course Championships.
The Qualifying time was 2:11.94 for the Boys 13 & Over 200m Backstroke, Mays touched the wall recording a time of 2:11.63.
Roy-Allan Burch set a new Men’s Open 50m Butterfly Record when he touched the wall in a time of 25.09, while Jesse Washington lowered the 15-16 Boy’s 50m Butterfly recording a time of 26.71.
Rebecca Heyliger equaled the Women’s Open 20m Butterfly Record when she touched the wall in a time of 29.18.
