One day after opening their spring season, Shelby Madeiros’ Siena Women’s Tennis teammates returned home to face Long Island University (LIU) at Tri-City Fitness for their first home match of the spring.
Siena would fall by a final score of 7 – 0, with Madeiros once again missing out.
Senior Meagan Brown and freshman Laia Giralt would win at #1 Doubles by a final score of 6-4. However, Siena would fall in both #2 and #3 doubles as LIU would gain the 1-0 advantage.
Despite a strong showing from Anastasia Koniaev at #6 singles, Siena would struggle throughout the lineup as LIU took wins in all six singles courts.
