Trey Mallory and his UNC Wilmington Tennis teammates opened a three-match road swing with a 4-0 loss at South Alabama.
South Alabama grabbed the doubles point with wins on the second and third courts, on the third court, Mallory and Jonathan Baron went down to Juan Accossatto, and Javier Montoya 6-4.
The clinching point came on court five as Juan Accossatto defeated Trey Mallory in straight sets 6-4, 7-6 (7-1).
