Trey Mallory and his UNC Wilmington Tennis teammates defeated visiting Coastal Carolina, 6-1, in Men's College Tennis action in their home opener at the Bird Cage.
The victory evened UNCW's record at 1-1 while Coastal Carolina dropped to 1-2 on the young season with their first road setback of the season.
In the number 1 Doubles spot, Mallory and Drew Broadstreet went down 6-4 to Carlos Berna Ruiz and Lucas Wayenburg.
Mallory would fall in his Singles match 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 to Wayenburg in the five spot.
