Daniel Phillips and his No. 20 Arizona State Men's Tennis teammates battled from behind after losing the Doubles point, to take four straight singles matches to top No. 13 Michigan 4 - 2 in the team's final match at the ITA National Men's Team Indoor Championship tournament.
Freshman Phillips earned his First Career Senior Singles win in the team's victory, this comes 10 years after Phillips competed at the Little Mo Tournament in 2014.
In singles, five of six Arizona State player who won their first sets against Michigan, including Phillips whose first-career win came in straight sets 6-4, 6-4 over Nicholas Steiglehner, which was the only Arizona State point to be decided in straight sets.
