Selby Madeiros and her Siena Women's Tennis teammates took care of business, as they ended the regular season on a three-game winning streak as they defeated the Niagara Purple Eagles by a final score of 6 - 1 at Central Park in Schenectady. With the win, Siena finishes the season in a tie for second in the MAAC.
Madeiros would show the coach what she is capable of to end off the season, she would play her first official Doubles match and she would make it three wins in a row in the Singles.
Siena would take the doubles point with wins on Courts 2 and 3. Maanya Viswanath and Madeiros shut the door with a win on Court 3 over Erika Gonzalez, and Kirah Regales, by a final of 6-2 to give Siena the 1-0 lead.
Madeiros would then take to the court in the number 6 Singles spot and she would take on Regales and the pair battled in a three-setter.
Madeiros won the first set 7-5, but Regales would win the second set 6-4, but Madeiros would then close out the match winning the third set 6-4.
