Tyler Smith and her Jackson State University Women’s Tennis teammates had a delayed start as the 2018 Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Women’s Tennis Tournament shifted venues to the Hilton Riverside Indoor Tennis Courts in New Orleans.
On a soggy day that saw rain downpours throughout the day in the Big Easy, saw Smith and her teammates fall 4 – 2 to the top-seeded Alabama State.
Smith was involved in the two wins for Jackson State.
Smith playing in the Number One Singles spot defeated Chloe Kabamba in straight sets 7-5, 6-0.
Smith then teamed up with Lucia Solis in the Number One Doubles spot and they defeated Reka Szentes and Kabamba 6-3.
