Tyler Smith and her Jackson State University (JSU) Women’s Tennis teammates fell 5-2 to the Mississippi College Choctaws at the JSU Tennis Complex.
In singles action Smith picked up a 2-6, 6-1, 6-3 victory over Brenna Keller at the No. 1 position. JSU’s other singles win came at the No. 3 position where Lucia Solis beat S. Gonzalez-Carrera 6-2, 5-7, 10-8.
JSU’s lone win in doubles action came at the No. 3 position where Nina Zhang and Daria Butorina beat Gonzalez-Carrera and Rebecca Grace Kimball 5-4.
Smith and Lucia Solis would go down 6 – 3 in their Doubles match against Keller and Anne Marie Kimball.
