Perinchief Finishes 2nd in Dutch Championships

Under the watchful eye of some 2,500 spectators Jah-Nhai Perinchief put on a show during the first day of the Netherlands Track and Field Championships in Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam.

The Youth Olympics bound High Jumper finished 2nd with a top leap of 2.08m in the Men’s High Jump. The winning leap of 2.18m saw Amels Douwe win the National Championship title.

With the bar starting at 1.93m, Perinchief cleared that on his first attempt, he cleared the next height of 1.93m on his first attempt as well.

The Bar was raised to 2.03m and after missing on his first attempt, Perinchief after getting a little advice from coach Rohaan Simons, Perinchief was able to clear the Bar.

With only three jumpers remaining in the competition, Perinchief and Douwe cleared the Bar on their first attempts at the 2.08m height, while Robert Bervoets needed all three of his attempts to clear.

Bervoets and Perinchief both failed at the 2.11m height leaving Douwe to jump alone.
