Yushae DeSilva-Andrade and Omar Hayward were back in action at the Para Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.
DeSilva-Andrade would win a Silver Medal, while Hayward would just miss out finishing 4th.
Hayward playing in the Bronze Medal match took on World No. 5 Jose Carlos De Oliveria from Brazil.
Hayward would jump out to a 2 – 0 lead at the end of the first end, Hayward would then go ahead 3 – 0 when he won the second end 1 – 0.
De Oliveira would pull within two when he won the third end 1 – 0, De Oliveira would earn 3 points in the fourth end to claim the victory 4 – 3.
DeSilva-Andrade would go down to Andreza De Oliviera from Brazil in a tie-breaker after the match finished 3 – 3.
De Oliviera took a 1 – 0 lead at the end of the first end, DeSilva-Andrade would then level the match at 1 – 1 when she won the second end 1 – 0.
De Oliviera would take a 3 – 1 lead when she won the third end 2 – 0, but DeSilva-Andrade stormed back to win the fourth end 2 – 0 to end the match a 3 – 3, send it to a tie-breaker.
In the tie-breaker De Oliviera would claim the victory 1 – 0, winning the gold medal and DeSilva-Andrade would win the Silver Medal.
