Bermuda Select 0 Rhode Island 8
Khano Smith’s Rhode Island defeated the Bermuda Select 8 – 0 at the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium at the National Sports Center.
Rhode Island dominated the match taking a 5 – 0 lead into the break, before scoring three times in the second half.
Rhode Island would get two goals from Noah Fuson, Joe Brito, and Joeja Kwizera, while Marc Ybarta, and Prince Saydee both added a goal each.
Meanwhile, before the kick-off of the Bermuda Select and Rhode Island match, former Bermuda International, and now General manager and Head Coach of Rhode Island Khano Smith and one of his players presented the family of Marco Warren a Rhode Island jersey with Warren’s name and number on it.
Smith said, “We wanted to do our part in honoring Marco Warren, who was special, and just like in Rhode Island who plan to curb the amount of Road Fatalities by 2030, I am hoping Bermuda could do the same.”
In return, Warren’s mom presented Smith and his team with one of the T-Shirts designed by Warren before his passing.
