The Global Sporting Community remains in mourning following the passing of Mrs. Judy Simons, a distinguished figure in not just Bermuda's sporting legacy, but also regionally.
Tonight at 7:30 pm, www.islandstats.com will host a Special Show “Remembering Judy Simons”.
Simons, the former Bermuda Olympic Association President, has left an indelible mark on the Bermuda Olympic Association (BOA), the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF), the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and numerous other sporting organizations.
Throughout her tenure as President of the BOA, and previously as Secretary General, Simons transformed Bermuda's sporting landscape. Her contributions resonated globally, elevating Bermuda's standing within international sporting communities and organizations. Her influence extended beyond borders, as she served diligently on various committees for Panam Sports, Centro Caribe Sports (CCS), CANOC, and the IOC.
