After a seemingly endless search, Bristol City have finally landed their desired "proven goalscorer" with Nahki Wells completing his £4 million move from Premier League Burnley.
Wells has signed a three-and-half year contract at Ashton Gate and was unveiled on Thursday night having undergone a medical earlier in the day in Bristol.
The 29-year-old has spent the last 18 months on loan at Championship side QPR, where he has scored 24 goals in 72 games, and is set to make his debut for the Robins against his former club on Saturday at the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium.
"Nahki is a player with so much talent and he is a proven goalscorer at this level. I have spoken before of our ability to create a lot of chances and I think Nahki will help us in terms of that clinical edge which we have needed at times," head coach Lee Johnson said.
"I’m really looking forward to working with him and I think he will be a great fit in our squad, as we set our sights on a strong finish with 18 matches left."
