It was heartbreak for Omar Hayward and Steve Wilson, but a joyful moment for Yushae DeSilva Andrade on Day Two of the Boccia event going on in the Parapan Games in Lima Peru.
DeSilva Andrade used skill and precision in her 5-1 victory over Ailen Flores from Argentina, after being down 1 0 at the end of the first game, DeSilva Andrade won the second game 2 0 to take a 2 1 lead.
In the third game DeSilva Andrade picked up a 1 0 win and then closed out the match winning the final game 2 0.
Hayward in game one was looking at taking a 3 0 lead when his opponent Guilherme Moraes from Brazil pulled off a shot with his final ball for both players to take a point each.
Game two Hayward would pick up a 1 0 win to take the lead 2 1, but in Game Three Moraes picked up a 2 0 win to take a 3 2 lead into the final round, thayt he would win 1 0 to claim the victory 4 - 2.
Unfortunately for Wilson he found himself up against Duban Cely from Columbia who is ranked in the top ten in the World, going down 9 1. Wilson was not his sharp self and Cely took full advantage of that hitting jack after jack.
Wilson won the first round 1-0, but from there Cely would win 4-0, 4-0, 1-0 to claim the win.
