Caitlyn Conyers and Nicole Mitchell lined up for the Pan American Games Women’s Road Race in Peru.
A total of 36 cyclist competed over a 80.5K Course, Conyers crossed the line in 10th place clocking a time of 2:19.52, she was 0.03 behind the Gold Medal winner Arlenis Canadilla from Cuba who was clocked at 2:19.49.
Mitchell crossed the line in a time of 2:21.16 to finish 29th.
The pair stayed in the lead pack of riders over the first 4 of the 5 laps raced, at the bell for the final lap, the pace picked up, with Mitchell who was not feeling 100% dropping off the pace.
