In front of a crowd of 1,325 official spectators, Bermuda and Guyana squared off at the National Sports Center as the two teams continue their preparations for the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

In a game that both coaches had express was more about trying to get some game time in for the players and the result was more secondary, saw Bermuda edge Guyana 1 – 0.

Bermuda dominated the first half of the game with Lejuan Simmons going close early, Simmons robbed a defender and played a give-and-go with Reggie Lambe, but his shot flew across the face of the goal.

The Bermuda team used pace up front to keep Guyana off balance and they managed to take advantage of that in the 39th minute when Donte Brangman gave Bermuda the lead and that goal proved to be the winner, receiving a pass in space from Nahki Wells Brangman’s low shot beat Alex Murray in goal for Guyana to his right.

The two teams battled it out to the half and went to the break with both coaches making several changes to the game.

The second half saw a different Guyana team, more direct and looking for the equalizer, but Bermuda goalkeeper Dale Eve and his defenders made the saves and timely tackles needed to keep the scoreline at 1 – 0.
