The year of 2019 continues to be a difficult one for Nahki Wells and his Queens Park Rangers teammates beaten 2-1 by second-bottom Bolton Wanderers at Loftus Road.
Phil Parkinson’s Bolton took a first-half lead against the run of play through Will Buckley in the 35th minute, though there was less of an element of surprise when Callum Connolly extended the visitors’ lead in the 71st minute.
Substitute Wells gave QPR hope when he struck nine minutes from time, but Rangers couldn’t complete the comeback.
JONTE SMITH
Never ever leave an Oxford United game early. Jonte Smith’s teammate Josh Ruffels goal with ten seconds left gave them yet another dramatic win as they came from behind to beat Wycombe 2 - 1. A goal from Jerome Sinclair had seen them draw level after Adam El-Abd's opener before Ruffels blasted them to a win with a magnificent strike.
Smith was not in the Oxford team for the match.
REGGIE LAMBE
Reggie Lambe was not in the Cambridge United team as his teammates were dealt a late hammer blow as a 95th minute strike from Kane Vincent-Young inflicted a 1 - 0 defeat against Colchester United at the Abbey Stadium.
