ICC Americas Development Manager Fara Gorsi is in Bermuda for an update and meetings on Bermuda’s progress in hosting the ICC Americas Region Twenty20 World Cup Qualifiers from August 15th to August 25th.
Gorsi who was at the National Sports Center making a site visit told www.islandstats.com, “I continue to be impressed with the Bermuda Cricket Board, who under the presidency of Lloyd Smith is moving in the right direction, the organization and their sheer enthusiasm to support the initiatives of ICC Development Programs is what we are hoping to build on.”
“It’s a huge honor for any member to host regional finals, from where the winners are led into the international pathway of competing at the next level, for a position in the Men’s World Twenty20 in Australia. Bermuda are one of the leading members in the Americas region, and we hope to see many more tournaments hosted by Lloyd and his team,” concluded Gorsi.
