Jackie Joyner-Kersee the guest speaker at the 80th Anniversary Gala Celebration of the Bermuda Olympic Association told the crowd that getting to the top takes determination and a strong will, you need to get through challenges, but you need to believe in yourself.
The Bermuda Olympic Association celebrated their 80th Year Anniversary of participating in the Olympic Games with a Gala Event at Fairmont Southampton.
Olympians of all ages descended on the hotel to listen to the message from Jackie Joyner-Kersee who is ranked among the all-time greatest athletes in the Heptathlon as well as Long Jump.
Joyner-Kersee won Three Gold, One Silver and Two Bronze Olympic Medals over four different Olympic Games.
Joyner-Kersee who was voted Sports Illustrated for Women magazine Greatest Female Athlete of All-Time, just ahead of Babe Didrikson Zaharias, share her life story of struggles with those in attendance.
