During the Commonwealth Games Federation Meeting in New Zealand history was made. The Commonwealth Games Federation members elected their first female President in Louise Martin from Scotland.
Vice President's Bruce Robertson from Canada, Gideon Sam from South Africa and Keryn Smith from New Zealand were also elected.
Bermuda Olympic Association’s General Secretary Philip Guishard was re-elected onto the Commonwealth Games Federation Sports Committee.
Members also selected Durban to be the first African city to host the Commonwealth Games after being confirmed as the venue for 2022.
The city on the east coast of South Africa was the only remaining bidder after Edmonton's bid team withdrew in February for financial reasons.
The Games will begin on July 18 - what would have been the 104th birthday of former South African president Nelson Mandela - and finish on July 30.
It will be the 22nd staging of the event, which is held every four years.
