Over 600 athletes from 24 Primary Schools took to the track today for the 2024 Bermuda School Sports Federation’s Primary School Championship Day One Peliminaries took place at the Flora Duffy South Field Stadium at the National Sports Center.
More than 70 heats took place in the 800 and 200 meters along with Relays for the Under 9 Boys and Girls and the Under 10 Girls, with only One Record broken on the day.
Aalirah Daniels clocked a winning time of 29.15 breaking the Under 10 Girls 200 Meter Dash Record which was held by Andrea Jackson, of Victor Scott Primary time of 29.41 set back in 1996.
Day Two of Qualifying will take place on Thursday and it promises to deliver as much excitement and fierce competition as today.
