Bermuda’s Carifta Games team is about to hit the headlines after being ignored in preparation for the upcoming games, as the team has been hit with injuries and age restrictions.
The Bermuda National Athletics Association and clubs have hosted several Track Meets leading up to the Carifta Games including the Final Trial this past weekend, and despite the event going on at the same time as the Rugby Seven’s Tournament and the same venue as the National Short Course Swimming Championships, youngsters on the track were completely ignored for coverage by other media.
www.islandstats.com can report Kallan Richardson, J’Naz Richards, I’Aura Golding, Azari Jones, Simeon Hayward, Shayla Cann, and Arima Turner are all injured, meanwhile, Gabby Cechini, qualified for the 1500 but she was born in 2011 and she is too young to compete.
