The UMBC Women's Track and Field team moved up three spots to place fifth out of nine teams with 87 points at the 2024 America East Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, held this past weekend at UMBC Stadium.
Junior Caitlyn Bobb won the Girls 400 meters, crossing the finish line in 54.17, a season-best result.
The UMBC Women’s 4x100 Meter Relay team, comprising freshman junior Za’Kayza Parsons, junior Tori Bulford-Trott, and Bobb, showcased their speed and coordination, clinching a Bronze Medaledal with a solid time of 46.45.
The UMBC Women’s 4x400 Meter Relay cruised to Gold as they dusted the field by over three seconds, finishing with a season-best 3:42.12. Leanne McDonald, Genelle Stephens, sophomore Shannel Sibblies, and Bobb finished with the 84th fastest time in the nation this spring.
