National Team Update in Cayman

HOD Anthony Francis
IslandStats.com
www.islandstats.com was in contact with Head of Delegation (HOD) for he Bermuda National Team in the Cayman Islands Anthony Francis who gave details about the situation in Cayman Islands.

“With the island beginning to light up, one can see that there was very little damage done in the section where we are. The trees and shrubs are indicating that we are now in the final quadrant of the storm. There is definite movement up and down seven mile road”, said Francis.

Francis continued, “The Cayman weather service is indicating that we will have diminishing Tropical Storm winds until about 1:00pm. The power outage seems to be isolated to pockets of the island. Last night at around 12:30am electrical flashes from sub stations could be seen in the distance. Power crews will probably be out around 11:00am to begin assessing and resolving electrical issues”.

“So far we have had no word on the continuance of the Digicel Championship Cup. Our last word was that games would be played at 5:30pm and 7:30pm”, Francis went on to say.

Francis concluded, “As of 7:00am Cayman Time, the Bermuda National Team are all doing well and are safe, I will have a further updates in about three hours”.
