Mia Fishel completed her first season with Tigres in Mexico.
Fishel was drafted by as the fifth pick by the Orlando Pride in December’s NWSL Draft, however, the 20-year-old attacker was aiming to become the first U.S. women's national team player to ply her trade in Mexico
Fishel has represented the United States at all youth levels and has been called to senior National Team camps, but is also eligible to represent Bermuda. Her father Patrick was born there, and she’s related to former Bermuda National Team players Andrew, Herbie and David Bascome, and cousin Druw Bascome has featured for the Bermuda U17s, facing off against Fishel in 2018.
Fishel’s campaign with Tigres Femenil officially got underway, as the rookie scored her first professional goal for the club in her first appearance.
In 18 appearances in the Tigres uniform, Fishel scored 12 times, Fishel will be releasing highlights of her first season with Tigres soon.
