Six Bermuda Male and Female Footballers teams were in action across Europe, with five of them on a winning side, and one scored what proved to be her teams winning goal.
Nathan Trott
Nathan Trott and his Vejle Boldklub’s teammates defeated Silkeborg 2 – 0 in Denmark Superliga action, the win leaves trot and his teammates in 11th place, but they are two point behind three teams all on 20 points.
Djair Patfitt
Djair Parfitt and his Makedonikos Neapolis teammates defeated Apollon Pontou 3 – 0 in Greece Super League 2 action, Parfitt and his teammates remain in 4th place in the standings.
Kenni Thompson
Kenni Thompson and her AFC Bournemouth Women’s teammates kept up their push for the National League South title after battling to a 3-1 victory at Keynsham Town.
Bournemouth struck twice in the opening period through Molly Barron-Clark and Lucy Cooper, before the hosts pulled one back through Vicky Vipond in the second half.
Amber Treweek’s late goal ensured Bournemouth made it 11 victories from 12 league games played.
Two minutes after the opener, the visitors came within inches of a second. Thompson cut in from the left and saw her clipped effort bounce off the top of the crossbar.
Bermuda international Thompson was still searching for the net herself. After gathering a cross from the right, she swiveled away from her marker and forced a sharp save from Charlotte Haynes.
Aaliyah Nolan
Aaliyah Nolan and her Bradford City A.F.C Women’s teammates edged South Shields 2 – 1 at the Harton Welfare Grounds.
Bradford City winger Mia Jacobs won a header around the halfway line and sprinted down the right channel, beating her opposing full-back and hitting a shot low across goal once she reached the box that found the bottom left corner.
Jacobs scored her second! She bursts down the left this time, finding her initial shot saved. Nolan picked up the rebound but had her shot blocked by a great sliding tackle from South Shields’ center-half, before Jacobs picked up the loose ball again and scored in from close-range.
Jasmine Spence
Jasmine Spence and her Newport Pagnell Town Women’s teammates picked up a 2 - 1 win at home against Cardea Ladies at the FairFields Sports Hub in the East Midlands Women’s Regional Football League Division One South.
With the score deadlocked at 1 – 1, Spence would find the net which proved to be the winner.
Eva Frazzoni
Eva Frazzoni and her A.F.C. Sudbury Ladies teammates went down 2 – 1 to Cambridge United Women FC in FA Women's National League action.
