Kenni Thompson and her Civitas Santa Teresa Badajoz fought against all odds in a match against Sporting Club Huelva in their Spanish Women’s First Division match-up.
Civitas Santa had two possible penalties and two goals disallowed, the last one from Belén in the 94th minute, with the ball in the back of the net, the referee canceled the goal due to a non-existent foul.
In the 64th minute, Sporting Huelva took the lead thanks to Mayra's goal, after a defensive error Mayra got on the end of a cross to put them ahead.
Thompson entered the game in the 83rd minute and five minutes later Civitas Santa had one of their penalty shouts turned down, Thompson’s cross into the area, saw Alba Mellado knocked down inside the area in the clash with the two defenders.
