Darlington took the lead in the 13th minute when a lovely flick on by Donawa released Adam Campbell, his deep cross found Sean Reid at the back post who planted the header home.
In the 42nd minute Donawa doubled the lead, a wonderful burst through on goal by Will Hatfield beating multiple and he cut it back into the path of Donawa and he put the chance away.
Neither team scored in the second 45 minutes, but a solid performance that by Darlington earned them the 3 points.
