At the Devonshire rec. no one would have thought this First Division match between Wolves and X-Road’s would see eight goals scored, nor would they have put money on Wolves winning by six goals, well when referee Martin Wyer blew the final whistle Wolves emerged winners 7 – 1.
Wolves got on the board in the 17th minute when Tory Davis found the back of the net, Sergio Richardson doubled the lead with a strike in the 35th minute. Six minutes later Kyle Brangman added his name to the score sheet. Wolves would get two goals in a space of a minute, Brangman scored in the 43rd and Richardson found the back of the net in the 44th minute as Wolves took a 5 – 0 lead into the break.
Richardson would complete his hat-trick with a goal in the 63rd minute and when Steven Bremar scored in the 74th minute Wolves would take a 7 – 0 lead, Tristan Daniels made sure that X-Road’s would not get shutout as he got on the end of a free kick in the 83rd minute to make the score 7 – 1.
