A ball crossed into the box in the 28th minute was cut out by St. George’s Stallions goalkeeper Troy Hall, who dropped the ball and Young Men Social Club striker Shervin Jennings laid the ball off to Jahkio Bolin who scored from some ten yards out. Lionel Cann equalized for the St. George’s Stallions in the 35th minute, a ball from Sinclair Gibbons sent Cann running in one on one with the Young Men social Club goalkeeper Tiko Hassell and he slammed his shot into the back of the net.

The second half saw both teams slow the pace down, but it was the St. George’s Stallions that found the go ahead goal which came in the 73rd minute when Sinclair Gibbons used the outside of his left boot to score and then in the 88th minute Cann ended the game as a contest when he scored from just inside the box t make the final score St. George’s Stallions 3 Young Men Social Club 1.

The game was 8 minutes old when the opening goal came, a free kick into the box was directed at goal which North Village Rams goalkeeper Mishael Paynter was able to get down low and palm away however it only managed to roll into the path of Rieko Trott who slotted the ball away from some six yards out. The North Village Rams created several chances to get back into the game during the half, but Jahron Dickinson squandered two chances from close range to get the equalizer as the two teams went to the break with the Dandy Town Hornets leading 1 – 0.

The second half saw North Village make two changes with Jahquan Smith- DeShields and Keishen Bean both coming on, Tyrell Burgess had a volley from some 25 yards out tipped over the crossbar by Dandy Town Hornets goalkeeper Treadwell Gibbons, minutes later Bean had a volley pushed around the post for a corner by Gibbons keeping the score at 1 – 0. With the North Village Rams pilling on the pressure early Dandy Town Hornets striker Angelo Simmons was able to catch them out at the back on a counter attack but his shot from inside the box went just wide.

The game changed in the 71st minute when a hard tackle from North Village Rams defender Jason Davis saw him and Zaire Burchall involved in a scuffle that resulted in both players sent off midway into the North Village half of the field. Dandy Town Hornets goalkeeper Gibbons races three-quarters the length of the field and put his hands in the face of a North Village Rams players and he was shown the red card, the Dandy Town Hornets were down to nine men and the North Village Rams had ten. The nine men Dandy Town Hornets with new goalkeeper Saki Tuzo was able to hold off everything the North Village Rams could throw at them to lift the Bermuda Football Association’s FA Challenge Cup Trophy.
