FA Chalenge Cup Semi-Finals Round Up

The Dandy Town Hornets and the North Village Rams will meet in the Bermuda Football Association’s 2013/14 FA Challenge Cup Final after both recorded 1 – 0 wins at the Wellington Oval.

Dandy Town Hornets 1 Robin Hood 0

After a scoreless first half Treadwell Gibbons converted from the penalty spot in the 48th minute to earn the Dandy Town Hornets the 1 – 0 win. Dandy Town could have scored on a few occasions however the squandered chance after chance, Robin Hood also create a few chances in the match and had a penalty appeal turned down in each half. With two minutes remaining and following a Robin Hood counter attack there was a loud shout for a penalty, but referee Lyndon Raynor waved play on, from the attack the Dandy Town hornets came close to doubling their lead only to see the ball cleared off the goal line. Once the ball was cleared into touch Robin Hood defender Alex Martin was sent off for using Foul and Abusive Language towards the referee and before play could resume another Robin Hood player Shane Dietz was sent off for committing the same offense that martin committed. Robin Hood played the final two minutes with nine men.

Devonshire Cougars 0 North Village Rams 1

Jahron Dickinson’s 11th minute goal was all the scoring in the match as the North Village Rams defeated the defending champions Devonshire Cougars 1 – 0. Dickinson was able to get his left foot to a Kaiwon Dill cross and found the back of the net beating Kioshi Trott from seven yards out to his left.
