A day after www.islandstats.com was able to bring you the results from the start of the 2019 Female Tour of Guatemala, President of the Bermuda Bicycle Association Peter Dunne sent a report of the first two days.
The second stage was a tough one, racing at over 2,200 meters altitude and involving several difficult climbs over a distance of 93K.
In an update on Caitlin Conyers who crashed with about 35 kilometers to go and struggled to get across the line before the time cut on the Opening Day as we reported she was shown as a Did Not Finish. Unfortunately she didn’t make it in time and was removed from the remaining four stages.
Nicole Mitchell continued and finished the Second Stage in 58th clocking a time of 2:39:16, Mitchell finished 10:48 behind the Stage Winner Arleenis Sierra who clocked 2:38:28
Mitchell is 56th overall 18:24 behind the overall leader Arleenis Sierra who has a time of 6:03:47.
