The Bermuda Bicycle Association’s Road Race Season continued with the Tokio Long Course Time Trial. The Junior 15 – 16 Male and Female, as well as the Open Male, Female, Veterans Male and Females all competed on the two lap course covering 20 miles, while the Junior Male and Female 11 – 14 competed on the 1 lap 10 mile course and the Under 10 did a short course in Clearwater.
Junior Male 15-16 rider Mathew Oliviera recorded the fastest time on the two loop course clocking 48:06.3, Anthony Bartley was the first Open Male rider and second overall clocking 48:09.0, Geoff Smith recorded the fastest Male Veteran time of 51:00.2 which saw him finish 5th overall.
Karen Smith was the first Female Veteran across the line clocking 56:34.8 finishing 17th overall, while Martina Olcheski-Bell clocked the fastest Female Open time of 58:22.8 which saw her finish 20th overall and Cassandra McPhee was the first Junior Female 15-16 finisher and 29th overall with a time of 1:05:40.4.
