The Crime Stoppers Cycling Team hosted another quality Road Race that took place in Prospect. The course saw the competitors started and finish at the Flagpole in Prospect.
Madison rider Dominique Mayho powered his way to victory in the Adult A Division clocking a time of 1:42:43, Winners Edge rider Darren Glasford was second with a time of 1:43:10. The two escaped from the peloton after two of five laps, countering what looked like a strong breakaway group led by Mayho's teammate Neil Lupsic. When Lupsic suffered a mechanical failure Mayho jumped to the lead and Glasford followed. Though there was a sustained chase from the remaining peloton it was not successful. In the final sprint to the finish line teenager Justin Ferreira was third in a time of 1:43:39.
In the Men’s B Division, Winners Edge rider Anthony Ricky Smith clocked a time of 1:26:05 crossing the line first, edging out Mark Brown who clocked a time of 1:26:05 and Fast Forward Bicycle Works rider Matthew Claridge finished third in a time of 1:26:06.
