Caitlyn Bobb, Keturah Bulford-Trott, Za’Kayza Parson, and their UMBC Women's Indoor Track and Field teammates traveled to Lynchburg, Va. for the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational.
As they prepare for the America East Championships, Bobb continued her impressive start to the Indoor season, when she was able to break a Meet and a National Record. Junior Bobb produced the meet's biggest highlight as she broke the school record in the 500 meters. Bobb's mark of 1:12.23 was the best by a collegiate runner finishing second overall in Lynchburg and broke Paulette Fogle's time of 1:12.78 in 2015. Bobb’s time also broke the Bermuda National Indoor Record she set in the Navy Indoor Invitational in December 2023.
Bulford-Trott finished 48th in the Women’s 60 Meter Dash Preliminaries clocking 8.12.
In the Women’s Long Jump Invite, Parsons finished 18th with a top leap of 5.34m.
Parsons would finish 28th competing in the Women’s 200 Meter Dash Open Finals clocking a Personal Best time of 25.61.
