Sakari Famous IslandStats.com Yet another four more Bermuda athletes took to the track to represent their schools.
Johndell Cumberbatch represented Morehouse College, and Diara James Powell-Burgess represented Clayton State Men's Track & Field at the Emory Thrills In The Hills Open.
Cumberbatch clocked a Personal Best time of 1:58.83 to finish 7th in the Men’s 800m, he would also finish 16th in the Men’s 1500m clocking a time of 4:10.08. Cumberbatch was a member of the Morehouse College Men’s 4x400m Relay team that finished 16th with a time of 3:34.69.
Powell-Burgess clocked a time of 11.46 on his way to finishing 7th in the Men’s 100m dash, he would finish 31st competing in the Men’s 400m clocking a time of 53.00.
Caitlyn Bobb represented the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in the Weems Baskin Invitational.
Bobb clocked a time of 24.73 on her way to finishing 14th in the Women’s 200m dash, she would then finish 5th during the Women’s 400m dash clocking a time of 55.68. Bobb was a member of the UMBC Women’s 4x400m Relay team that finished 6th with a time of 3:54.07.
Sakari Famous represented McNeese Track and Field at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays at the University of Texas in Austin.
Famous placed fourth in the Women’s High Jump Section B Group with a mark of 1.77m, ranking No. 2 all-time in school history.
