The Dandy Town Hornets are the 2013/14 Premier Division Champions

Dandy Town Hornets 7 Devonshire Cougars 2


At the BAA Field the Dandy Town Hornets made no mistake in insuring that the Premier Division title was heading to St. John’s Road with a 7 – 2 come from behind win over the defending champions Devonshire Cougars.
The Dandy Town Hornets went in front in the 13th minute when Zaire Burchall scored, but the Devonshire Cougars would strike back in the 29th minute when Makai Battersbee found the back of the net and when Mark Steede scored three minutes later the Devonshire Cougars took a 2 – 1 lead. Angelo Simmons drew the Dandy Town Hornets level with a goal in the 40th minute and then on the stroke of half time Jahmel Swan scored giving the Dandy Town Hornets a 3 – 2 lead.

The second half was all the Dandy Town Hornets as Damon Ming scored in the 57th minute, Simmons scored his second in the 80th minute and Ming then added his second in the 82nd minute and when Rico Wells slammed his left footed shot home in the 88th minute it sparked wild scenes of celebration, all that was left was the presentation to the Dandy Town captain Brandon Minors.

Wolves 2 North Village Rams 1

At the Devonshire Rec. this match had meaning at both ends of the table, North Village Rams were trying to win the League and Wolves were trying to avoid the drop, neither happen as Wolves defeated the North Village Rams 2 – 1. Vincent Minors Jr opened the scoring for Wolves in the 22nd minute, Keishen Bean equalized for the North Village Rams in the 82nd minute however one minute later Tevaughn Tyrell scored what proved to be the winner for Wolves.

Southampton Rangers 3 Somerset Trojans 2

At the Southampton Oval, the Southampton Rangers avoided the drop with a 3 – 2 win over the Somerset Trojans. Janeiro Tucker gave the Southampton Rangers the lead in the 18th minute and when Keedai Astwood found the back of the net in the 39th minute it gave the Southampton Rangers a 2 – 0 lead. Antoine Seamon pulled a goal back for the Somerset Trojans in the 45th minute to make the half time score 2 – 1. Geno Smith drew the Somerset Trojans level with a goal in the 53rd minute, but Kemon Simmons scored the goal needed to earn the Southampton Rangers all three points and a spot in the Premier Division for the 2014/15 season.

Hamilton Parish 4 PHC Zebras 2

At the Wellington Oval Hamilton Parish secured the final Dudley Eve spot for the 2014-15 season with a 4 – 2 win over the PHC Zebras. Shakeem Albouy scored twice, while Kneiko Richardson and Shayne Hollis added a goal each, Cecoy Robinson and Marco Piper scored a goal each for the PHC Zebras.

St. David’s 2 Flanagan’s Onion’s 0

At Lord’s in St. David’s the home team went ahead in the 4th minute when Domonique Lambert found the back of the net, Shakil Robinson doubled the lead in the 52nd minute as St. David’s defeated the Flanagan’s Onion’s 2 - 0, the win however could not stop them from making the drop back to the First Division.
