The National Archery Association of Bermuda has solidified its leadership for the 2026 season following its Annual General Meeting, as the island’s elite archers enter the final stages of preparation for a critical continental mission in Mexico.
The newly elected executive and management team, led by returning President Ross Roberts, will oversee a pivotal year for the sport, with international qualification and youth development at the forefront of their agenda.
Following a productive AGM, the association announced a blend of veteran leadership and fresh administrative talent. Ross Roberts continues at the helm, supported by Secretary General Trina Roberts and Vice President Bernard Wade III. The executive is completed by Treasurer Hannah Burnett-Herkes, while a dynamic management team including A-laina Trott, Ashley Weekes, Sharrieff Wales, Alleyne Weekes, and Robert O’Connor has been appointed to drive the sport’s domestic and international operations.
The immediate focus for the association shifts to the Pan American Archery Championships, scheduled to take place from June 22nd to 28th in Tlaxcala, Mexico. For Bermuda's top athletes, these championships serve as the primary Pan Am Qualifiers, offering a high-stakes arena to secure spots for upcoming major multi-sport events.
Bermuda’s contingent is expected to feature several seasoned campaigners who have already demonstrated their caliber on the world stage earlier this year. With international competition experience from indoor events in the United States already under their belts, the team is now transitioning to the outdoor format, focusing on the tactical demands of the 70-meter range.

The tournament in Tlaxcala marks a significant step in the association's long-term strategy to elevate Bermuda’s ranking within the Americas. Following the qualifiers, the association’s focus will remain on high-performance training, ensuring the next generation of Bermudian archers has the infrastructure and technical support to compete with the region's best.
