Bowler David Maycock has concluded a challenging double-header in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, as he continues his pursuit of success on the Professional Bowlers Association circuit.
The experienced international first took to the lanes for the PBA Sweeper Tournament, a high-intensity format that demands immediate precision. Over the course of five games, Maycock accumulated a total pinfall of 1,020. His performance was enough to secure a 17th-place finish in a competitive field, providing a solid foundation for his stay in the Sunshine State.
Following his opening outing, Maycock turned his attention to the 2026 PBA Saint Lucie Lanes Non-Champions Open. Competing at the Saint Lucie Lanes, the Bermudian faced a grueling seven-game qualifying set designed to test both technical skill and endurance on professional oil patterns.
Maycock battled through the session to finish in 34th position, ending the tournament with a total of 1,428 pins. While the result saw him miss out on the later matchplay rounds, the tournament offered further vital experience against some of the most consistent performers on the regional tour.
The Florida swing comes during a busy period for Maycock, who has recently been a dominant force in domestic competition. Having recently led the national team selection trials in Bermuda, these appearances in the United States remain a key part of his preparations for upcoming international assignments with the national squad.
