The Bermuda Golf Association’s 4-Ball Championships concluded at the Port Royal Golf Course, with Jevon Roberts and Oliver Betschart crowned the Bermuda 4-Ball Men’s Division Champions. In the Ladies’ Championship Division the defending champions Ann Symonds and Tracy Burgess claimed their third consecutive title after a three-hole playoff.
Jevon Roberts and Oliver Betschart have been crowned the Bermuda 4-Ball Men’s Division Champions after a masterclass in consistency at the Port Royal Golf Course. The pair surged to the title following a scintillating second-round five-under par 66, finishing the tournament with a combined total of four-under 138.
The victory marks a successful title defense for the duo, who held off a determined chasing pack in the blustery Southampton conditions. Spencer Wideman and Derrick Irby, who had shared the overnight lead, carded a steady one-under par 70 to claim second place at two-under par overall. The perennial threat of Jarryd Dillas and Damian Palanyandi rounded out the top three, finishing at one-over par 143 after a closing round of 72.
In the Ladies’ Championship Division, the title was decided in a three-team playoff. Rising golfer Darina Betschart posted a one-over-par 72, the lowest score of the day in the Ladies' Division, bringing her team level with overnight leaders Tracy Nash and Carine Brule, and the defending champions Ann Symonds and Tracy Burgess. After a three-hole playoff, Symonds and Burgess secured the win - claiming their third consecutive title.
The Senior Men’s Division provided an exciting finish, as Sheldon Chychrun and George Hutchings were deadlocked with retired athletes Mark Ray and Kyle Lightbourne after regulation play.Following a one-hole playoff, Chychrun and Hutchings claimed the title competing against MarkRay. Lightbourne was unavailable for the playoff due to football touchline commitments.
