The Bermuda National Bowling Team faced stiff international competition as the Men's Doubles event continued on Day Two of the International Bowling Federation (IBF) World Bowling Championships in China. Despite spirited efforts across all three squads, none of the Bermudian doubles teams advanced to the next round.
The highest placement for the Bermudian teams came in the Men's Doubles Squad 2 Division, where the pairing of Lamar Richardson and Dennis Joell finished in 22nd place. They accumulated a total pin count of 1361. Richardson and Joell's best performance of the day was their second game, where they bowled an excellent 243.
In the Men's Doubles Squad 1 Division, Dayvon Tucker and Anthony Hayward finished 28th overall. The pair totaled 1215 pins, with their highest score of 202 coming in their fifth game.
Finally, in the Men's Doubles Squad 3 Division, the duo of Michael Honore and David Maycock also finished 28th. They recorded a total pin count of 1269 pins, with their best game, a 212, occurring in their fourth game.
The team now focuses on the remaining events in the World Championships, aiming to translate these individual strong game scores into advancing results.
