This decisive win allows the Nifty Rollers to open up a substantial twenty-point lead on the Astronauts, tightening their control on the top spot.
The race for the top four intensified as fourth-placed Odd Balls caused an upset, defeating third-placed rivals Under Dawgs 18–9. The valuable victory means the Odd Balls gain crucial ground in the standings, while the Under Dawgs will be frustrated to drop points to a team below them.
Further down the table, eighth-placed New Hope delivered a notable upset, defeating the seventh-placed The Invaders 17–10.
