The Commercial Bowling League delivered a surprising result in Week Nine action at Warwick Lanes, as a major upset shook the top of the table while the league leaders maintained their solid footing.
In the result of the week, eighth-placed Pin Heads staged a remarkable performance to defeat second-placed contenders Strike Force 3–1. The victory serves as a huge boost for the Pin Heads and creates a gap at the very top of the standings, giving the league leaders some breathing room.
League leaders Secret Weapons capitalised on their rival's loss by securing a solid 3–1 victory over ninth-placed Horseshoe Bay Rollers. The win ensures Secret Weapons remain firmly in control of the top spot as the competition heats up.
Elsewhere in the chasing pack, third-placed Who Gives A Split delivered a dominant 4–0 shutout victory over seventh-placed Butt & Vallis, securing maximum points for the week and tightening their grip on third place.
Meanwhile, fourth-placed Too Legit To Split edged out fifth-placed Sweet Life with a close 3–1 scoreline. The result is crucial for Too Legit To Split, preventing Sweet Life from closing the gap in the mid-table battle for a top-four position.
Sixth-placed Spare Parts had a bye week and will return to the lanes next week.
