Young Football Stars Honored at BFA Youth Awards

The future of Bermudian football was celebrated in style as the Bermuda Football Association (BFA) held their annual Youth Awards ceremony at Pier 6. Promising young talents across various age groups, from Under 13s to Under 18s, were recognized for their outstanding achievements throughout the season.

The awards spanned multiple categories, including top goal scorers, best goalkeepers, best defenders, Most Valuable Players (MVPs), and Coaches of the Year, highlighting the dedication and skill present within the island's youth footballing ranks.

Under 13 Girls Dominated by BFLA
The Under 13 Girls division saw a clean sweep for BFLA (Bascome Futbol Leadership Academy). Avery Taylor was the star of the show, picking up both the Top Goal Scorer and MVP awards. Her teammate, Kyra Simmons, was named Best Goalkeeper, while Stella Simpson took home the Best Defender accolade. The BFLA's successful season was further recognised with Karl Roberts being named Coach of the Year for this age group.

A Mixture of Winners received Awards in the Under 15 Girls Division

The Under 15 Girls Division, recognized C'Leisha Spence of Dandy Stars as the Best Goalkeeper, Amiya James of Warwick Football Academy securing the Best Defender award, and Nila Samuels of Warwick Football Academy claiming the prestigious MVP title; Daley Outerbridge of Dandy Stars was celebrated as the Top Scorer, while Corey Dowling of PHC Lady Zebras was honored as the Coach of the Year for their guidance and leadership.

North Village Rams Shine in Under 13 Boys B Division

The Under 13 Boys B Division saw North Village Rams make a significant impact. Chaz Edmead was named MVP, and Tarik Smith was recognised as Coach of the Year. The Best Goalkeeper award went to Samuel Valles of X-Roads, while the Best Defender honours were shared between Jahkari Burgess-Samuels of North Village Rams and Caden Burgess of Vasco. Remi Furbert of X-Roads claimed the Top Goal Scorer award.

FC Bascome Blue's Barritt Scoops Under 13 Boys A Division MVP

In the Under 13 Boys A Division, Adam Barritt of FC Bascome Blue was named MVP, while his teammate De'Ari Trott was recognized as Best Defender. The Best Goalkeeper award went to Henrik McInotsh of Somerset Trojans. The Top Goal Scorer award was shared by three players: Krayvon Bean-Burchall of Somerset Trojans, Ja'Zhari Ingham of Warwick Football Academy, and Adaj O'Brien of FC Bascome Gold. Robert Bean of PHC Zebras was named Coach of the Year for this division.

Somerset Trojans' Lightbourne Furbert Dominates Under 15’s

Zydon Lightbourne Furbert of Somerset Trojans was the standout performer in the Under 15 Division, scooping both the MVP and Top Goal Scorer awards. Curtis Jackson of Warwick Football Academy was named Best Goalkeeper, while Grant Reese of FC Bascome was recognized as Best Defender. Danvers Seymour Jr. of Somerset Trojans was named Coach of the Year.

FC Bascome's Sharrieff Leads the Way in Under 18’s

The Under 18 Division saw Khari Sharrieff of FC Bascome named MVP and also share the Top Goal Scorer award with his teammate Mosiais Mills. Jayden Symonds of PHC Zebras was recognized as the Best Goalkeeper, while Alexander Rymon-Lipinski of Warwick Football Academy took home the Best Defender award. Mark Mills of FC Bascome was named Coach of the Year for this age group.
