The Bermuda Hogges and Ocean City Nor'easters could have scored five or six goals in a wide-open Premier Development League soccer game Sunday at Carey Stadium.

Kwame Steede scored the lone goal of the game for the Bermuda Hogges in the 37th minute as now the Hogges move onto 11 points for the season.

Steede got control of a loose ball about 16 yards out on the left side, and he found the back of the net, past Ocean City goalie John McCarthy.

The Hogges improved to 3-5-2 (11 points) in the PDL's Eastern Conference Mid Atlantic Division. Ocean City dropped to 1-5-6 (nine points).

"Tahj Bell, played a great game, and McCarthy made some great saves as well," Bermuda coach Maurice Lowe said. "Ocean City was a very tough opponent. They made us work hard to the very last minute."

Bell finished with nine saves, while McCarthy had six, and both keepers kept the score from being much higher.

"We had so many chances tonight that it's really disappointing not to win," Nor'easters captain Terry Gibbs said.

Ocean City midfielder Dwayne Dove had a good chance from in close in the first minute, but Bell made his first save. O.C.'s Junior Chapman headed one over the net from in close in the 30th minute, and three minutes later the former St. Augustine Prep star booted the ball twice and Bell gambled by coming out of the net to make two stops.
