Craig Behan, Head Basketball Coach at Red Deer College (Alberta, Canada), was invited as a guest coach for the Men's National Team in preparation for the 2007 Island Games.
Since the tournament, Behan who was able to impart his knowledge to the team which assisted in the Men's team obtaining a Silver Medal has kept in touch with Bermuda’s Basketball players.
As a result of the experience, coach Behan was able to see the young talent that Bermuda had to offer and as a result Behan offered Jason Lowe a full basketball scholarship to attend Red Deer College as a student/athlete.
Lowe departed the Island recently.
Behan is in constant contact with Roderick Spencer, Head Coach of the Men's Team who also played a hand in the ground work for this excellent opportunity.
